Revolut launches a network of smart ATMs in Spain: instant cards and biometrics.

In the coming weeks, the first 50 next-generation ATMs will go live in Madrid and Barcelona, allowing users not only to withdraw cash but also to instantly receive a physical card on-site. In the future, the network is expected to expand to 200 locations across the country.

ATMs will be installed in central areas and have already been tested at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona.

The machines will feature facial biometric identification, encryption, and will be connected to the card within the app.

Revolut promises no fees for cash withdrawals in Spain or abroad, as well as competitive exchange rates.

The project was developed in the company’s tech hub in Barcelona and aims to strengthen Revolut’s position as an alternative to traditional banks. The service already has 4.8 million customers in Spain and is now a partner of the national tax agency, enabling users to pay taxes directly through the app.
