The Spanish Tax Agency has launched a free application called VERI*FACTU for electronic invoice creation.
The tool allows self-employed workers, professionals, and small businesses to quickly create electronic invoices and automatically send records to the tax authorities.
Starting January 1, 2026, businesses with a turnover below €6 million will be required to use certified invoicing software. From July 1, 2026, this obligation will extend to more than 3.4 million self-employed workers.
The main goal is to increase transparency and prevent shadow economy practices by recording all modifications through linked corrective invoices.
