Ikea launches "Ikea Preowned" in Spain

The new platform is designed for buying and selling used furniture between individuals. It allows customers to set their own prices instead of having Ikea evaluate the items, a service Ikea has already been offering for a long time.

Madrid and Oslo were chosen for the platform’s initial testing, but the goal is to expand it soon to all countries where the Swedish multinational operates.

Second-hand sales platforms are already available from many clothing brands like Zara and Shein, reflecting demand amid lower incomes and Europe’s environmental agenda, as well as the love for vintage items.
