European Commission introduces EU Inc. status for a unified European company

The European Commission has officially proposed a new legal business status: EU Inc. This pan-European company format will allow startups and small businesses to operate across the EU without the need to open local legal entities or adapt to the corporate laws of each individual country.

The main goal of the initiative is to accelerate business scaling. Registering an EU Inc. will be possible entirely online within 48 hours, with a maximum cost of 100 euros and a minimum share capital of 1 euro. The new status also introduces standardized documents for attracting investments.

Although the new format does not completely abolish national tax and labor regulations, it radically reduces initial bureaucratic barriers. The introduction of EU Inc. will allow companies to build their business targeting the European market from day one, saving time and legal costs.
