The Spanish Tax Agency opens access to fiscal data for 2025

Even though the tax return campaign starts on April 2, the Agencia Tributaria has already granted taxpayers access to their fiscal data. Early checking of information in the personal account will help identify errors, prepare documents, and speed up the refund process.

The system already reflects data on salaries, bank interest, received state benefits, and social security contributions. Salaried employees are advised to carefully check the draft declaration, as the department often fails to account for regional deductions for rent, education, or sports.

Self-employed individuals (autónomos) should be especially careful when confirming the draft. The tax authority only sees part of the income and does not take into account actual professional expenses, so automatic agreement with the proposed calculation can lead to a significant overpayment of taxes.
