Foreign investment in Spain fell by 30% in the first quarter of 2025
According to Multinacionales con España, Spain attracted €4.067 billion in foreign direct investment during Q1 2025 — 30% less than the average for the same period over the past 5 and 10 years (around €6 billion).
Reasons for the decline: traditionally low activity at the beginning of the year; postponed major deals awaiting administrative approvals; global downward trend in investment, as confirmed by the UN.
