What's changing from July 1: rent, tickets, subsidies

1️⃣ Mandatory Registration for Short-Term Rental Properties

Starting July 1, all apartments rented for less than one year (tourist, temporary, or short-term rentals) must obtain a unique registration number (NRUA) in order to be listed on platforms like Airbnb or Booking.

Without this code, fines range from €2,000 to €30,000.

2️⃣ New Renfe Promotion: 25% Discount on AVE and Long-Distance Trains

From July 1 to July 20, you can buy tickets for travel in August–September with a 25% discount when traveling in a group of four.

The promotion applies to AVE, Alvia, Euromed, and Intercity trains.

The 40% discount for children still applies.

Fare name: "Tarifa 4 o más" (4 or more fare)

3️⃣ Imserso: Applications Open for Senior Travel Program

From July 1 to July 23, applications are open for the government-subsidized travel program for seniors for the 2025/2026 season.

Included: hotel, meals, insurance, medical services, and leisure activities.

New this year: flat €50 rate for low-income participants, and pets are allowed (on coastal trips).
